Junior League of Kingston members and their friends gathered to learn to knit/crochet caps for an international project spearheaded by the “Save the Children” organization. The mission of this project is to learn a skill and turn that ability into tiny caps for preemie babies. Our knitted caps are sent to Save the Children’s newborn health programs in Africa, Asia and Latin America to keep newborn babies warm and healthy. This project gives real meaning to community women supporting women.
