Beth Hanigan has been a member of the Junior League of Kingston since 2008. Beth is a Legacy Member – her mother is Sustainer Johannah Hanigan. Beth has served the League in many leadership roles, serving on the Membership (now Provisional Development) and Communications Committees and chairing Education and Membership/ Nominating Placement. Beth served as League liaison to NYSPAC in 2013 and 2014. Most recently, Beth was the Chair of the major project, Kingston Kinderland II. She was the 2013 Junior League Volunteer of the year.
Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Western New England University. She is currently a Claims Examiner with Alliance Member Services.
Beth has previously served as a board member for the YWCA of Ulster County. Currently, Beth, an Alumni in Admissions Representative at Western New England University and a member of John A. Coleman Catholic High School Hall of Fame committee, a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 5, and serves on the Irish Cultural Center Hudson Valley committee.
Beth Hanigan is committed to the her community and volunteerism and believes the training and experience of the Junior League has helped her develop the skills to be leader and volunteer in the community.
Kristy has been an Active Member of the League since 2011. She has served on and chaired the Research Committee. Kristy has also chaired many Done in a Day events such as the Boo in the Zoo and the Always There Car show. Kristy also served on the Kingston Kinderland II task force and chaired the Kingston Kinderland II Education Committee.
Kristy holds a Masters Degree in Literacy and Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Childhood Education. She completed her undergraduate studies at Marist College and her Masters at the College of St. Rose. She is currently a special education teacher at Miller Middle School in the Kingston City School District. Kristy has worked in the Kingston City School District for 8 years. Kristy also serves on the board of the Ulster Police Women’s Auxiliary and is a part of the Travis Nissen Memorial Fund.
Kristy was born and still resides in Ulster County. Her pride and joy are her two dogs Baxter and Turner. Kristy enjoys swimming and biking.
